ADOLF KRUPICKA Adolf “Tex” Krupicka, age 82 of Waco, died Thursday, Sept. 23 at a local nursing home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Paul Krupicka, nephew, officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North with Masonic rites by Waco Masonic Funeral Committee and Taps played by a member of the American Legion. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 at the funeral home. Mr. Krupicka worked over 50 years at Smoot-Anderson Co. and retired from Milstead Supply. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 92 for 50 years. He was also a member of Karem Shrine, participating in Karem Patrol, serving as president for two terms. He also served one year as lieutenant. He was a member of American Legion Post 121 and captain of Waco Police Reserves during his 35 years of service. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Force, serving in WWII. Mr. Krupicka was preceded in death by his parents, Vince and Julie Krupicka; sisters, Viola Brown and Teresa Krupicka; brothers, Raymond Krupicka, William Krupicka and twin, Alvin Krupicka. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Pam Krupicka; daughters, Sandra Stephens and husband Ron of Irving, and Julie Rice and husband Andrew of Abilene; granddaughter, Stephanie Burtch and husband Matt of The Colony; grandsons, Shawn Stephens and wife Sarah of Houston, Shane Stephens of Frisco and Andrew Rice Jr. of Abilene; great-granddaughters, Hannah and Rebekah Stephens of Houston; sisters, Irene Vybiral and husband Albert of Temple, and Evelyn Pfannstril of Buckholts; brothers, Ben Krupicka and wife Charlene of Waco, and Robert Krupicka and wife Ailene of Waco; sisters-in-law, Annie Krupicka of Waco and Myrtle Krupicka of Heidenheimer; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Shawn Stephens, Shane Stephens, Andrew Rice Jr., Matt Burtch, Chris Anderson, Wayne Krupicka, Fred Husak and James Klein. Special thanks to the Royal Manor staff and especially to Christy, Kathleen and Holly for the love and care they gave him. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or a favorite charity.
