Anna Pearl Felton

Anna Pearl Felton, 85, of Waco, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 7, 2005. Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Louis Catholic Church, with Monsignor Mark Deering and the Rev. Angelo Bertini officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Rosary and visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, October 9 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey funeral home. The family will receive relatives and friends at the cabin on Lake Felton. Mrs. Felton was born April 14, 1920 in Houston and moved to Corpus Christi at the age of 2. She married Walter P. “Boots” Felton July 3, 1941 in Corpus Christi. After World War II, Boots and Anna Pearl moved to Waco in September of 1948. They spent their time raising cattle, quarter horses, and many children. She was the proud mother of nine children, and had 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Anna Pearl was a devout Catholic. As a life member of the Council of Catholic Women and a 35-year member of Catholic Women’s Study Club, Mrs. Felton served with St. Ann’s Altar Society of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Elk. She later became a member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church of Waco. Anna Pearl’s accomplishments include: founding Felton’s Trading House Realty in 1983, Realtor of the Year in 1997, and The Waco Conference of Christians and Jews 2000 recipient of the “Family of the Year” award. Anna Pearl had many pastimes. She was an avid bridge player and a fan of Friday night football, as well as all Baylor Bear Athletics. She served as a volunteer for the Providence Volunteer Auxiliary for 23 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Perry “Boots” Felton, and sons Walter Perry Felton, Jr. and Mark Preston Felton. Anna Pearl is survived by son, Scott Mathieu Felton and wife Mary Ann Felton, grandson, Walter Perry Felton, granddaughter Lindly Ann Felton, granddaughter Kelly Felton Clark and husband Andrew Clark, great-grandson Preston Shaw Clark; daughter Wray Marie Felton Hurst, granddaughter Tammie Hurst Strunck and husband Scott Strunck, great-granddaughter April Lauren Strunck and great-great-granddaughters Ashtyn Kate Young and Lyndi Paige Young, great-grandson Lyndall Scott Strunck, great-granddaughter Jordyn Ashley Strunck, great-grandson Holden Robert Strunck, grandson Ronald Lee Hurst, Jr. and wife Sue Love Hurst, great-grandson Ronald Lee Hurst III, great-grandson Randall Dwight Hurst, great-granddaughter Ashlen Blake Hurst, great-grandson Ryan Charles Hurst, granddaughter Donna Hurst Baker and husband Gary L.
