Bill Dameron of Speegleville passed away Friday, June 23, 2006 at a local hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 27 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with family friend Mitchell Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 26 in the Garden Room at the funeral home. Bill was born December 24, 1939 in Speegleville to Marvin Eugene Dameron and Frances Mills Dameron. He graduated from Midway High School in 1958. Bill owned and operated Quik Pak Food Stores and Dameron Oil Company. He was awarded the Texas Family Business of the Year Award and Texas Department of Public Safety Citizen of the Year Award. He was an avid fan and supporter of the Baylor Lady Bears Basketball and Baylor Baseball teams. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Karem Temple Shrine. Bill was instrumental in creating the Marvin Dameron Invitational Golf Tournament benefiting the Midway High School Golf Teams. Bill was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Eugene Dameron and mother Frances Mills Dameron. He is survived by his bride Dolly; son, Mike Dameron and wife, Marci; daughter, Shelly Negrete and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Sarah Dameron, Coleman Enger, Jake and Kooper Negrete; brothers, Marvin and Clyde Dameron; sister, Mary Mooney and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Donnie Dameron, Clifford Anderson, Clinton Anderson, Gregory Scott Anderson, John Paul Anderson and Calvin Deal.
