Cleo Edwards Carroll

January 25, 1914 — February 21, 2002

CLEO CARROLL Cleo Edwards Carroll, 88, of Waco, died Thursday, February 21, 2002 at a local nursing home. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, February 27 at Rosemound Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Ed Konieczny of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church officiating. Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 1124 Washington Ave is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Carroll was born January 25, 1914 in Crawford, where she attended schools. She was the daughter of Roy Ruel and Annie Edwards. She was employed as a lab technician at Hillcrest Hospital and at Dr. Marion Carter’s office. She also owned and operated Carroll’s Casuals on 25th Street and then later at Westview Village. Mrs. Carroll was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church and Baylor Alumni Association. She was a volunteer for Hillcrest Hospital and a member of Hillcrest Women’s Auxiliary. We will always remember Cleo for her thoughtfulness and in her caring for others and her love of nature. Cleo will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Zeddie Z. Carroll, brother, Ruel Edwards, sister, Earnestine Harlow and her dear and lifelong friend, Dr. Joe Jaworski. Survivors include her son, Bill “Zeddie” Carroll; daughter-in-law, Donna Carroll; grandson, Nick Carroll and wife, Tina; granddaughter, Amanda Carroll; nephew, Buddy Edwards; nieces, Noel Dula and Patsy Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillcrest Hospice. A special thanks to the staff of Quality Care of Waco for their support and care for the last four months. WILKIRSON HATCH BAILEY
