Dorothy D. Sellers

Dorothy D. Sellers passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. Services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born September 22, 1926, in Prairie Hill, Texas, to Chester and Iva Lee Sellers. Dorothy was educated at Mart High School and 4C Business School. She worked at Central Freight Lines from 1944 until 1994. She enjoyed baseball and never missed a Texas Rangers game. She was a faithful member of Columbus Avenue Church of Christ where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She adored her family and ran the family reunion with her sister for many years. She had a great sense of humor and told us many humorous stories and jokes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her sisters, Ouida Waldrop and Eloise Myers.

She is survived by her sister, Sherrill “Sam” Jenkins and husband, Richard; nieces, Suzann Cantwell, Sheila McClellan, Cindy Webb, Melissa Bell, and Sara Hileman; and nephews, Burton Waldrop, Lloyd Waldrop, and Terry Bell.
