Dorothy McDowell passed away in her home on Friday, May 7, 2021. Graveside Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, May 15, at Waco Memorial Park. Burial will follow. Dorothy was born May 7, 1930, in LuVerne, Iowa, to Fred and Ada Kruse. She worked and retired from the Texas Department of Human Resources. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and watching television. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Earl McDowell, She is survived by her children; Ramona, Dorothy, Clifford, and Fred. Grandchildren; Trevor, Samantha, Shauna, Erin, and Casey. The family would like to thank Julie with Bluebonnet Hospice, Brian Spriggs, and Lisa Housen for making it possible for her to be at home during her final days.
