Dorothy M. Hall August 16, 1919 – June 26, 2006 Dorothy Monnie Hall, 86, of Waco, passed away at St Catherine’s on Monday, June 26, 2006. After a seemingly endless struggle to remain for those who loved and cared for her the most, Dorothy slipped peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father at 7:05 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, June 28 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with Reverend Su Milam officiating. Dorothy, along with her twin sister Doris, was born in Mt. Calm, Texas on August 16, 1919 to James C and Lillian Bland. She attended Waco High School where she met the love of her life, Fred Hall, Jr. They were married on April 10, 1937; “unbeknownst to friends and family,” until December 16, 1943. For over 70 years she was a faithful member of Austin Avenue Methodist Church and the Evans Sunday School class. Dorothy’s life calling was loving people, cooking and taking care of her friends and family. An “Angel, sent straight from Heaven, the passing of Dorothy will leave a void in many lives. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lillian Bland and father, James C. Bland; her loving husband of 57 years, Fred Hall, Jr. and brother, Jim Bland. She is survived by daughter, Jennifer Talbert and husband, Cameron; grandchildren, Tara and Cam of Waco; Kathy Parkes and husband, Stan; grandchildren Mandy and Samantha of Virginia; son Fred Hall, III and wife, Vicky , grandchildren Holly and Brandon of Montgomery, Texas; son, Greg Hall and wife, Peggy of West, Texas. Dorothy had 2 great-grandchildren. Her sisters are Doris Harris of Waco and Darlene Wall of Houston. Her brothers are Randy Bland of China Spring, Bob Bland of Florida. Beloved Aunt Lentsy Doran of Waco and special cousin, Ellie Linex of Hewitt. Dorothy had many nieces and nephews who dearly loved their “Aunt Sister”.
