Edna Moorefield

EDNA MOOREFIELD Edna Moorefield, age 87 of Waco, died Friday, January 17 at a local hospital. Services will be at 1:30 pm Monday, January 20 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Bill Agee officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Miss Moorefield was born July 28, 1915 in Waco to Walter and Nellie Moorefield. She attended Waco schools and graduated from Waco High in 1936. She worked for the U.S. Government for three years in the Selective Services and then at the Pentagon for 27 years. After retiring in 1972, she moved back to Waco. Miss Moorefield was a member of the Truth Seeker Class at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include her nephew, Walter Harry and wife Willena of Dallas; niece, Nettie Tasker and husband Gordon, Jr. of New Jersey; great nephews, Wendell Harry, Walter Harry and Chip Tasker; great nieces, Linda Lyon and Terry Jo Hansen; three great great grand nieces and nephews; and extended family, Betty Harry, Michael Harry, Galen Harry, Adam Harry and wife Lisa, and Dena Hurst and husband Jimmy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Columbus Avenue Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
