Edna Stokes Noble passed away Friday, October 14, 2005 at a local hospital. Visitation will be from 10:30 – 11:30 am, followed by services at 11:30 am, Monday, October 17, at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, with the Rev. Drew Wilson officiating. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 18 at Lone Cherry Baptist Cemetery in Mangham, LA. Edna was born March 2, 1910. She grew up in Mangham, LA. and lived many years in Sterlington and Monroe, LA. In 1984, she moved to Waco and resided at William Booth Garden Apartments. She was a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Noble; son, Jerry Noble; sister, Cora Bell; brothers, R.C. Stokes, Herman Stokes and Lynn Stokes and great-grandson, Samuel Clinton Noble. She is survived by daughters, Pat Hatton, Dianne Mutz and Sandra May, all of Waco; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Martiel Kizer and brother, Everett Stokes.
