Enedina Nadine DeLeon May 14, 1924 - January 7, 2013 Enedina DeLeon of Waco passed away Monday, January 7, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Gonzalo Ferrer as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. and a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Enedina was born May 14, 1924, in Speegleville, Texas, to George and Isabel Ortega Liendo. She was employed at Wolfe Wholesale Florist for a number of years, where she met her future husband, Jesse M. DeLeon. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waco. She was active in several church organizations, the National Council of Catholic Women, the Apostolado, and the Guadalupe Society. She supported the Knights of Columbus and was a former member of the Bta. Soc. M. M. de Jornaleros. She was a kind and loving lady and a great friend to all. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brothers, Felix Liendo, Vidal Bill Liendo, Dennis Liendo and John Liendo; and nephew, Manuel Liendo. She is survived by step-son, Vidal G. De Leon of Robinson, TX; nieces, Gloria Beltran and husband, Edward, of Lorena, Helen Lopez and husband, Manuel, of Grand Prairie, TX, Dora Moore and husband, David, of Waco, Felicitas Ibarra and husband, Santos, of Moody, TX, Mary Sanchez of Waco, Julie Moreno of Waco, Anita Liendo of Waco, Liz Holder and husband, Stan, of Mt. Calm, TX; nephews, Johnny Liendo, Robert Liendo and wife, Luann, of Riesel, TX, Johnny O. Liendo and wife, Jackie, of Georgetown, TX; sister-in-law, Beatrice "Bea" Liendo of Waco; and special friends, Rita Nunez and Maria Compian. Pallbearers are Manuel Liendo, Jr., David Morgan, Vincent Lopez, Jr., Pete Salazar, Leon Luzunaris, Emmitt Flores, Roman Chapa and Ruddy A. Silva. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Quevedo, Paul Leos, Hon. Felipe Reyna, Jose Zarate, George E. Wolfe, III, Tom J. Wolfe and Jim H. Wolfe, Apolinar Villafana and the Advisory Board of Brazos Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
