Ernest Thomas Caldwell

CALDWELL, ERNEST Ernest Caldwell, 71, of Mart, passed away, Sunday, November 30, 2003 at his residence. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Burial will follow at Kirk Cemetery. Mr. Caldwell was born February 12, 1932 son of George and Louise Caldwell. He went to school in and around Rosebud. He went to Radio School at Radio Center for Billy Azbell. After leaving Radio Center he went to work for L & M Electronics as a salesman and later had the opportunity to buy into Bell Electronics in Temple. He came back to Waco in 1965 and took over L & M in Waco. After retiring from L & M he went into ranching and the used car business called 5-C Auto Ranch. He married the former Ann Michalewicz on July 25, 1953. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles in 1992 a grandson, Joshua; his parents; two brothers, Lewis and Calvin; two sisters, Tommy Ruth and Lydia Jane. He is survived by two sons, James Caldwell and wife Cindy of Axtell, John Caldwell and wife Tammy of Ben Hur; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one foster son, Neil Travers of Oceanside, Calif. and one chosen grandson, Randy Yoris and wife Mitz; one brother, J.B. Caldwell of North Carolina; two sisters, Lou Bane of Round Rock and Erma Cox of Baytown. Pallbearers will be Harry Cinek, Tom Hamilton, Sid Cosper, Arthur Kreis, Gary Seith and Edwin York.
