Felix Franco, 83, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020, at Grand Brook of McKinney, Texas. Services will be private on Thursday, June 18, with Father James Ekeocha officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. He was born in Seabrook, New Jersey, on June 8, 1937, then graduated from Bridgeton High School in Bridgeton in 1955, and joined the United States Marines Corps. He married his wife, Gladys M. Swing Franco, in 1959 and was happily married for 60 years. They raised two sons, Michael and Felix, and two daughters, Lisa and Nicole. He worked for Owens Illinois for 35 years, ten of which were spent at the plant in Waco, Texas. He retired to the Destin, Florida, area. He was a loving husband who modeled dedication and hard work to his children. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, watching NASCAR racing, traveling, and relaxing at the beach. He is preceded in death by his son, Felix S. Franco, Jr.; daughter, Susan Franco; and parents, Jenny and Joseph P. Franco. Felix is survived by his wife, Gladys M. Franco; and three children, Michael and his wife, Leah, Lisa and her husband, Scott Freund, and Nicole and her husband, Tom Helfand; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
