Gertrude Jennings Johnson

Gertrude Jennings Johnson March 16, 1915 – September 8, 2006 Gertrude Johnson of Temple, formerly of Waco, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 8, 2006. Graveside services will be at 11:30 AM, Saturday, Sep. 9 at Waco Memorial North Cemetery, I-35, Waco, TX. Mrs. Johnson was born in Gouldbusk, TX to Elmer and Mattie Jennings. While living in Waco for many years she attended Bellmead Church of Christ, and in recent years attended the Fifteenth Street Church of Christ in Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George W. Johnson. She is survived by her sisters: Etoile Paden, Eunice Ballew and Pearley Shepherd; and a host of friends who loved her like a sister and mother.
