HERBERT MYATT, SR., SGT./MAJ. RET. Herbert Myatt, Sr., Sgt/Maj. Ret., age 75, of Lorena died Tuesday, December 25, 2001 at his residence. A military graveside service will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, December 29th at Lorena Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Friday, December 28th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Myatt was born October 2, 1926 in Fort Worth, to Ross and Ruth Gilreath Myatt, where he was reared and educated. He graduated from Fort Worth Polytechnic High School. He married Morian Nell Hodges January 11, 1944 in Fort Worth. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Sgt./Maj. after 30 years of service, having served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a Mason. Survivors include his wife, Morian Nell Myatt of Lorena, sons, Jimmy Ross Myatt, Sr. and wife, Joyce of Alexandria, Louisiana, Charles Michael Myatt and wife, Christy of Whitney, Herbert Myatt, Jr. and wife, Mary of Lorena, grandchildren, Melissa, Rendi, Amanda, Brenda, Madison, Desiree, Jimmy Ross, Jr., Jason, Herbert, III and Jeremy, sister-in-law, Alice Myatt of Fort Worth, brother-in-law, J.W. Hodges of Cleburne, and nephew, Gary Hargett of Fort Worth. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ross Myatt, Sr., Charles Michael Myatt, Herbert Myatt, Jr., Herbert Myatt, III, Jimmy Ross Myatt, Jr., and Jason David Myatt. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
