Hortencia Gonzales passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Dr. Randall Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.
Hortencia was born January 5, 1936, in Waco, to Trinidad and Elvira Tijerina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Anita, Ruby, and Ruth; and two brothers, Trinidad Jr., Johnny, and Rudy.
Her living siblings are Rosa, Tony, Mary Lou, Gloria, Teri, and Vera.
Hortencia was a devoted homemaker for 69 years. She is survived by her husband, Tomas Gonzales; children, Sylvia Josephs and husband, Bruce, Patricia Morales and husband, Albert, Beatrice Alonzo and husband, Frank, Margaret Gonzales, Mary Ordones and husband, Lupe, Edward Gonzales and wife, Dorothy, and Annette Pena and husband, Joe; ten grandchildren, Eric, Amanda, Vanessa, Jennifer, Adam, Randy, Chris, Audri, Kimberly, and Alyssa; and nine great-grandchildren, Addison, Camden, Brayden, Amelia, Jazlyn, Easton, Joaquin, Ava, and Santiago
Pallbearers are Eric, Chris, Randy, Adam, Dustin, D.J., and John.
