Isabel Tappan Maynard

MAYNARD, ISABEL Isabel Tappan Maynard, age 91 died Wednesday, March 21, 2001 in Columbus, Ohio. Graveside memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 31, 2001at Rosenthal Cemetery with Rev. Todd Green, First Presbyterian Church officiating. Arrangements are through Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Maynard was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 24, 1910. She grew up in White Plains, Georgia. Following graduation from Women’s College of Georgia, she taught in the public schools in Georgia and North Carolina. She married William Simpson Maynard, Sr. in 1936 and lived in El Reno, Oklahoma from 1943 until her move to Ohio in 1995. Her husband, her sister, Caroline Tappan White, and her sisters-in-law, Opal Maynard Cooper, Mildred Maynard Carpenter, and Lucy Maynard Durham preceded her in death. Survivors include: Two sons: Robert Howell Maynard of Columbus, Ohio Dr. William Simpson Maynard, Jr. of Alexandria, Louisiana Six grandchildren Two great grandchildren Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 221 S.
