James Milton Fetter

FETTER, JAMES JIMMY MILTON James Jimmy Milton Fetter, age 85, of Dallas, formerly of Waco passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at a Dallas nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM Thursday, May 30 at Rodef Sholom Cemetery with Rabbi Seth Mark Stander officiating. The family will receive friends and family 12:30-2:00PM Thursday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Fetter was born January 21, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harry and Mildred Greenstein Fetter. He was in the U.S. Marines, and after retiring from a 25 year career with Texas Power and Light, ran his own real estate company in Waco, Texas until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of Masonic Lodge number 92 and a 33rd degree Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Waco Shrine and rode on the Texas T’s and a member of the marching patrol. He was a member of Temple Rodef Sholom. He was a lifetime member of Jack & Jill Donuts of Waco and lifelong fan of the Baylor Bears. He was a wonderful husband, loving father, devoted grandfather and great grandfather, and intelligent businessman and a friend to everyone that he came across. His grandchildren were the love of his life and he enjoyed his summer trips with them to the Waco Zoo, riding the train at Lions Park in Waco and taking them to Six Flags over Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bernard Fetter. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Florence Rubinsky Fetter of Dallas, formerly of Waco; daughters, Annette Brown and husband, Martin of Dallas and Lana Thompson of Dallas; son, Stuart Fetter and wife, Janice of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; grandchildren, Dr. Marshall and Sherry Brown of Fort Worth, Allison and Randy Madison, Evan and Rachel Fetter, Melissa Fetter all of Dallas, Dr. Cindy Carter of Charleston, South Carolina and Lauren Thompson of McAlester, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Ryan Madison and Sam Madison of Dallas, Kaitlyn Thompson of McAlester, Oklahoma, Blake Brown and Carson Brown of Fort Worth, and Bradley Fetter of Dallas; sister-in-law, Lea Fetter and many nieces, nephews and life long friends. Pallbearers will be Dr. Marshall Brown, Evan Fetter, Harold Ginsberg, Adolph Tex Krupicka, Arnold Miller, and Randy Madison. Honorary pallbearers are Harry Harlick, Mark Knapp, Bernard Unell, and Bruce Wolk.
