Jesse Earl Culp May 21, 1931 – September 6, 2005 Jesse Earl Culp passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at his residence. Services will be at 3:30p.m. Friday, September 9, 2005 at Waco Memorial North Mausoleum with the Rev. Van Vowell officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Jesse was born May 21, 1931 in McGregor, McLennan County, TX to Roy Hudson Culp and Lillie Chamblee Culp. Mr. Culp graduated from McGregor School in 1949. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1954, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Culp was married to Mary Saxon December 20, 1953, in Marlin, TX. They made their home in Waco where Mr. Culp was eployed by Safeway Stores until his medical retirement in May 1989. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a life-long Baptist and currently was a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Tammy Hancock Culp of Hewitt; stepgrandson, James Hancock of Hewitt, sisters: Mildred Baker and husband Ben of Waco, Dovie Luedeker and husband Marvin of Crawford, Joan Anderson and husband Ray of McGregor, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Culp, his only child, Charles Earl Culp, father, Roy Hudson Culp, mother, Lillie Chamblee Culp and brother Roy Lee Culp.
