Kolinek, John July 21, 1918 – August 30, 2005 John Jake Kolinek, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2005 in a Temple hospital. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 1 at Waco Memorial North with Rev. Connally Dugger officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, August 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque. John was born July 21, 1918 to Louis and Anna Pauline Bayer Kolinek in Sharp, Texas. He was a member of the Local Musician’s Union. He played guitar in several bands throughout Texas. He was very active in the Meals on Wheels program and was a Member of Central United Methodist Church. He was a WWII veteran and retired from Pure Milk Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and had a long and fruitful life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Callie Lee James Kolinek, his parents, six sisters and two brothers. He is survived by daughter, Carlene Dugger and husband, Connally; sons, John C. Kolinek, Jr. and wife, Carol and Randy L. Kolinek and wife, Norma; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters, Ione Lewallen and husband, V.G., Ella Childs, Margie Seawright and numerous nieces and nephews.
