Jourdon Garrett Moore September 9, 1997 September 22, 2011 Jourdon Garrett Moore, 14, of Bellmead, tragically passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Jourdon, a Waco native, was born on September 9, 1997, to Nate and Tanya Moore. He attended George Dixon Jr. High as an 8th grader. His favorite subjects were art and Honors science and he couldn't tell you enough about what he was learning. He loved the ocean and wanted to be a marine biologist to study and swim with the sharks. He read and watched anything he could about sharks. He loved all genres of music, from techno to old country western and anything in between. He was an amazing, caring, and polite young man who took care of his Mom and his G'ma. Jourdon loved to walk, that was his alone time, and to listen to his music and think. Jourdon loved to play his Xbox with his brother, friends and strangers on-line. Wheel of Fortune on the Wii was reserved for his Mom and G'ma. Jourdon truly lived at the heart of his family. Jourdon is survived by his mother, Tanya Moore, of Bellmead; his brother, Joseph and wife, De Von, of Waco; his G'ma, Carol Garrett, of Bellmead; his Pawpaw, Pat Garrett of Galveston; his father, Nate Moore and wife, Betsy, of Montana; step-siblings, Tonya, Beau and Tara Boyett. He is, also, survived by many aunts and uncles, Shelly and Garry Scott of Bellmead, Randy and Debbie Green of Karnes City, and Connie and Mike Falk of Fredericksburg, Pennie and James Mace of Luling, Chauncy Brown of Chilton, Judy Miller of Waco, Bonnie Boyett of Bellmead, Jeanie Wymore of Helena, Montana, grandparents, Dixie and Jim Schuck of Great Falls, Montana, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends, the class of 2016, and his beloved dogs, Snickers and Maddie. Jourdon's family would like to thank the Bellmead Police Department, TSTC, Lacy-Lakeview Police Departments and other involved agencies, Chief Alvarado, the ones who found Jourdon, stopped and called 911, the EMS response team, Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, the trauma team, all the nurses, doctors, technicians who cared for Jourdon. Our heart-felt thanks to Chaplain Ross, all the students and teachers of George Dixon Jr. High campus, the person who called in to the tip line, and everyone who knew Jourdon and reached out to his family in this very difficult time.
