June Simons Lamb October 23, 1929 - August 25, 2014 June Simons Lamb, known to many as "Mama June" of Waco passed away Monday, August 25, 2014. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Services will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, August 29, at Christian Life Church with Dr. Mike Simons officiating. No graveside service. June was born October 23, 1929 in Waco, Texas to Earl and Hannah Lamb. She was an ordained minister who lived a life of service by being involved in various Christian ministries and community services. The ones dearest to her heart were prison ministry, Friends for Life, nursing home ministry, and many church activities. In 1981 she helped found Project Angel Tree of Waco and continued helping children at Christmas until her passing. June was a long time member of First Pentecostal Church of Waco and World Outreach Church. She was currently a member of Moldbreakers Fellowship in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Simons Booth, brothers, Earl J. Lamb, Jr., Bobby Lamb and Pastor Tommy Lamb. June is survived by her daughter, Sharon Eads and husband, David and her son, Pastor Dr. Mike Simons and wife, Hazel, both of Waco; grandchildren, Pastor Thomas Frazier and wife, Melissa, Lynn Booth, Jr. and wife, Serena, Michael Simons II, Robert Galloway and wife, Kristin, Mark Booth, Rachel Simons, Joshua Simons and Rebekah Simons; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Rev. William Lamb and Dr. James Lamb and wife, Lynn and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers are Joshua Simons, Bryce Frazier, Braden Frazier, Mark Booth, Robert Galloway, Michael Simons II and Lynn Booth, Jr. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our "Memorial Guestbook" at www.WHBfamily.com.
