Our joyful and loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Leonard Edward Moses was born in Frosa, Texas, to Leonard and Georgia Mae Moses on January 5, 1938, and was the youngest of three children. He was raised on a farm where he was adored by his parents and two older sisters, and he adored them in return. He graduated from Bruceville-Eddy High School in 1955. While in the 11th grade, he met his only love, his Daisy, who became his wife in 1959. For 62 years, their love and commitment built a home that became the source of strength for their four daughters and families. Leonard worked for William Cameron Wholesale and Certainteed Corporation for his entire career of 44 years where he was a Purchasing Agent, Project Manager and then Territory Roofing Salesman for the Texas Region. He forged many lifetime friendships with fellow employees and customers. Leonard served eight years in the United States Navy Reserves as a hospital medic and was a Master Mason for 55 years with the Masonic Lodge. He was an active member of Lakewood Christian-Renew Church for over 32 years and volunteered delivering for Meals on Wheels after his retirement and into his 80's. Leonard loved to play golf and he was a member of the senior men’s group at Cottonwood Creek. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and pro golf. He also enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, and lighting fires in his fire pit. He loved cruises with his wife, Daisy, and the beach. Leonard always joked to his family that he was perfect, but to his family, he was truly perfect and the rock of his family. He put his wife and family first in every way. He went to countless games and performances of his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren where he loved every minute. Leonard had a big heart and was very generous and would help any family member or friend with any need. He visited the sick, drove friends to medical appointments and worked hard at keeping his many treasured friendships. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Georgia Mae Moses; his sister, Mildred Cotton Monk; brothers-in-law, Woodrow Cotton and Frank Espinola; and nephews, Ronald Cotton, Rodger Cotton, and Charlie Wallace. He is survived by his loving wife, Daisy; daughter, Tisha Billelo-Lightfoot and husband, Jeff; daughter, Tara Moses-Collinsworth and husband, David; daughter, Leslie Mills and husband, Justin; and daughter, Amber Moses-Ortiz and husband, Mike; his 12 grandchildren who include Camille Billelo, Sam Billelo, Danielle Stokes and husband, Alex; Michael Billelo and wife, Haylee; Ellyssa Collinsworth Stewart and husband, Dakota; Carrigan Collinsworth, Ashton Rice and husband, Justin; Abby Mills, Emily Mills, Johnny Jackson, Azlyn Jackson, and Cruz Ortiz; his seven great-grandchildren Jackson Leonard Gross, Mollee Daisy Billelo, Baer Billelo, Vivian Billelo, Lincoln McCarter Stokes, Amelia Rice and Audrey-Kate Rice; his sister, Jean Espinola; his brothers-in-law, Claude Monk and Morris Wallace; sister-in-law, Rose Wallace and numerous nieces and nephews. Our family and future generations will be blessed by this legacy of love. A private family service was held Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Renew Church in Waco, Texas, with Pastor Wayne Williams officiating. Military honors followed at the burial site at Waco Memorial Park.
