Margaret Ressler

November 28, 1918 — April 19, 2005

Ressler, Margaret Margaret Ressler, 86, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at her home. Graveside services will be Friday, April 22 at 2:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery with Dr. Steven Mansen officiating. She was born in 1918 in Brenham, Texas. She was a graduate of Waco High School and Baylor University and married Parke E. Ressler in 1944. Until her retirement, she assisted at her husband’s legal practice and she participated in many community activities. She was a member of the Waco Garden Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Waco Symphony Association, the McLennan County Bar Auxiliary and the Ridgewood Women’s Golf Association. She was also involved in PTA and Camp Fire Girls. She was very active at Central Christian Church serving in leadership roles in the Crusaders Sunday School class and the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was also a deaconess and a trustee. She was preceded in death by her parents, H. H. Jinx and Blanche Tucker. Jinx Tucker was the former Sports Editor of the Waco Tribune Herald. She is survived by her husband, Parke E. Ressler; her daughters, Nancy Goble and husband, John of Dallas and Anne Meyer of Waco; grandchildren, Jennifer Goble McKelvey and husband, David, Mike Meyer and Brady Meyer all of Dallas and great grandchildren, John and Mark McKelvey. The family requests that memorials be made to Central Christian Church, 4901 Lake Shore Drive, Waco, Texas 76710.
