NEWTON, MARJORIE ANN Marjorie Ann Newton, age 82 went to join her family on Tuesday, May 27, 2003. Graveside services will be held at 1pm Saturday, May 31 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Art Torpy officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30 at 7pm at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Miss Newton had resided in San Antonio continuously from 1949 until the time of her death. She was employed in Civilian Personnel at Randolph Air Force Base for 26 years. She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and the Wesley Sunday School class. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, reading and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Lorena Doll Newton, and her two sisters Claudia Sue Carroll and Martha Gene Newton. Survivors include nephews and nieces, James Newton Carroll, Claudia Carroll, Marjorie Carroll Grills and Philip Eugene Carroll and six great nephews and nieces. The family gives special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Regent Care Center, especially Nancy, Rebecca, Terry, Betty, Dora, Narcisa, JM, Mary Lou and Demetrius.
