Marshal “Chris” Tompkins January 27, 1975 to October 5, 2016 Chris Tompkins passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Dawn Gilliland, Diaconal Minister, officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Chris was born January 27, 1975, in Pasadena, Texas, to Tommy and Sandy Tompkins. He was a very caring, giving and passionate young man and wonderful father. He worked for Holt Cat for the past five years and was very dedicated to his friends and customers while employed there. He was preceded in death by his “Papaw” Cecil Bryen; and his grandmother, Hazel Tompkins. He is survived by his parents; his children, Marshal Cole and Chloe Bella Tompkins; his grandmother, Martha Jo Bryen; his brother, Richard Horton and wife, Shannon; nieces, Courtney and River, and nephew, Ethan; his aunts, Pam Taliaferro and Sherri Peterson; cousins, Ben Taliaferro, Heather Hixson, Ashley Luna and Stephanie Gilliam; his long-term girlfriend, Bianca Cavazos, and her children, Jaimen and Lily. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jamie’s Place at Hillcrest Hospice or Waco ISD Athletics Department c/o University High School Golf Team.
