A memorial service for MaryLee Presley will be held at the Nell Pape Garden Center at 1901 5th Street in Waco, Texas, on Sunday, March 11, 2018, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. Please join her family and friends in celebrating her life. MaryLee, who was also known as Honeymother, was well loved by family, friends and her faith community. She loved Proverbs 8:32-35: “Now therefore, O sons listen to Me, for blessed are they who keep my ways. Heed instruction and be wise, and do not neglect. Blessed is the man who listens to Me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts. For he who finds Me, finds life, and obtains favor from YHUH” MaryLee had such a zest for life and openly shared the joy of her salvation with anyone she met. Her enthusiasm for the LORD was a blessing to many, and she will be greatly missed. She often quoted her favorite character Mame from the stage play “Auntie Mame”: “Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death!” Honeymother would then proclaim, “L’chayim” “Choose Life” Deuteronomy 30:19 MaryLee Presley passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018. Graveside Services took place on Friday, February 23, at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at 6 Carriage Square on Shabbat and Sunday, March 3rd and 4th, 2018. MaryLee was born on March 12 to Cris and Violet Erwin. She grew up in Odessa, Texas, and raised her family in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Clark Lee Presley; and a brother, Gerald Erwin. She is survived by three daughters, Renee Swann and husband, Russell, Lori Fields and husband, Jack McCarter, and Cassandra Long and husband, Chris; six grandchildren, Presley Swann and wife, Laura, Beau Swann, Bradley Swann and wife, Jordan, Britt Swann and wife, Ashton, Taffan Fields and AnnaKate Long; six great-grandchildren, Asher and Axel Swann, EllieKay and Violet Swann, Luke Swann and one expected who will be named in honor of his/her great-grandparents; brother, Ronald Erwin and wife, Jeannie; one sister-in-law, Myrtle Erwin; and one niece and four nephews.
