Ralph Henry William Hampe

Ralph Henry Hampe Ralph Henry Hampe, loving father and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2004. Services will be held at 10am Friday, December 31 at Zion United Church of Christ, Clifton, Texas with Dr. Charles Rice officiating. Mr. Hampe was born February 21, 1922, in Cayote, Texas to William and Louise Hampe. He graduated from Valley Mills High School in May, 1940 and subsequently served honorably in the United States Armed Forces in World War II. Ralph returned to Clifton after World War II and began farming and ranching in the Womack Community. On June 12, 1948, he married Ivy Mae Hampe of Jewett, Texas. Together, they had two children and three grandchildren. In addition to farming, Ralph had a 30 year career with General Tire and Rubber Company. In 1965, he and his family moved to Waco, where he eventually retired from General Tire. During his retirement, he continued to enjoy farming and ranching. He lived his life in service to God, country, and his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, by his parents, and his sister, Elsie Hampe Mueller. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Kelly Bryan of Fort Davis, Texas and son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David and Robin Hampe of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Tiffany Bryan Johnson and husband Lee of Fort Worth, and Corby Brennan Bryan and Casey Tee Bryan both of Lubbock; sisters Ora Belle Helms of Temple and Mildred Conrad of Clifton, and many nieces and nephews.
