Raymond Leon Boone September 6, 1928 July 23, 2011 Raymond Leon Boone, 82, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the Western Heights Baptist Church, with Rev. Kip Osborn officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Leon was born September 6, 1928 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He served in the U. S. Navy and was honorably discharged Dec. 23, 1947. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 35 years and retired in 1987. Ray was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church. He was the father of eight children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Dean Boone and his step-son, Larry Ray Smith.
