COON, ROBERT Robert L. Coon, age 75, of Waco, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 10, 2003. Memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m., Sunday, April 13, 2003 at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd., with the Rev. Nolan W. Garrett officiating. Interment will be at Norton Cemetery, Norton, Texas. Bob was born on October 30, 1927 in Houston, Texas. He was a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a lifetime member of the Texas Exes Association. Bob, a retired agent for the Internal Revenue Service, was very active in the Republican Party of McLennan County and was a member of the Emmanuel United Anglican Church of Waco. He regularly attended Senior Continuing Education classes at Baylor University. He was an avid traveler and was actively involved in community service. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Jean and a son, Michael. Survivors include daughters, Linda Holbrook & husband Tommy of Whitney, Vicki Goetz & husband Herbie of San Antonio, and Laura Thomas & husband Terry of Pasadena; son, Alan Coon & wife Elizabeth of St. Louis, MO.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Carver of Pasadena.
