Addie Brunson McAlister September 20, 1916 - January 5, 2011 Addie "Big Mother" Brunson McAlister, 94, went to be with her beloved Lord, Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Memorial services and entombment will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Phillips officiating. Addie Hunt was born September 20, 1916 in Kosse, Texas to Mrs. Willie P. Hunt. She graduated from Bremond High School, where was a school athlete, playing softball, basketball and baseball. Addie, in later life, continued her walking and exercises. She was very proud of her jobs with Texas Textile Mills, Wood Manufacturing and as a nurse with Hillcrest. Mrs. Addie loved the Lord and was a member of the Eastern Star for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her mother; infant daughter, Lillie; and her husbands, Elmer J. Brunson and Wayne McAlister. She is survived by her son, Larry J. Brunson and wife, Lynnette, of Streetman, TX; two daughters, Christine McLearen of Waco, and Glenda Huff and husband, Virgil, of Robinson; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
