OBITUARY FOR ADELE WIZIG ZLOTOWICZ Adele Wizig Zlotowicz, 88, died November 14, 2002 in Thousand Oaks, CA. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 17, 2002 at Rodef Sholom Cemetery with Rabbi Seth Stander officiating. Services under the direction of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 1124 Washington. Mrs. Zlotowicz was born June 20, 1914 in Poland. She was a pre-med student prior to World War II in Poland. She married Simon Zlotowicz in 1940 during World War II. They were Holocaust survivors and fought in the Polish and Russian underground. Adele and Simon owned Simon's Tailor- ing & Men's Shop in downtown Waco at 520 Austin Ave. Simon died in 1986. They were interviewed by Baylor University for their city archives and Adele spoke on numerous occasions to school children and organizations regarding the Holocaust and keeping the memories alive. Adele also managed a uniform shop. She moved to California to be with her beloved son, Leon . his wife Jan, and grandchildren, Daniel and Sharon. She is also survived by grandson Barry, his wife Amy, and great granddaughter Rebecca of Glenview, Illinois. Memorial guestbook at www.wilkirsonhatchbailey.com
