Adeliada Martinez December 8, 1946 - December 7, 2012 Adeliada Martinez of Waco passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at Lake Shore Village. Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, December 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with the Pastor Paul Krupicka officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch Bailey. Adeliada was born December 8, 1946 in Waco, Texas to Paul Martinez, Sr. and Faustina Ramos Martinez. She was the oldest of five children and had two beautiful daughters whom she loved dearly. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and caring friend for all that knew her. She was a teacher for 35 years in Texas schools and then retired five years ago, and continued working as a substitute. She enjoyed teaching at Bell's Hills Elementary and loved the students she taught. Her favorite pastimes were reading and art; but most of all she loved to dance. She was also a Waco Mission's Queen during the 1960's. As a mother, Adeliada loved playing fun games with her children such as waking them up by shaking their beds and yelling "earthquake". She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Paul Martinez, Jr. and grandparents. She is survived by daughters, Vanessa Vega and Adriana Vega; sister, Yolanda Rodriguez and husband, Johnnie, of Waco; and brothers, Mario Martinez and Linda Levinson of The Colony, TX and Chris Martinez and wife, Patricia of Magnolia, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honarary Pallbearers are Paul S. Martinez and wife, Nancy, Jody Lee Martinez and wife, Brenda and James Aaron Rosas. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of The Lakeshore Village Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice and St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
