A.F. “Al” Looney, Jr. August 19, 1931 – April 7, 2006 A. F. Looney, Jr., of Waco, passed away Friday, April 7, 2006. Services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday, April 12 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery in Ross, Texas. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, at the funeral home, 6101 Bosque. Al was born in Limestone County, August 19, 1931, the son of Johnnie and A. F. Looney, Sr. He married Margie Bell Hord, the love of his life January 23, 1952. He served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1958 which included duty during the Korean War. He was a Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Texas. He owned and operated Al’s Supply Company with his family for over 27 years. Until recently, he had been a member of the Good Sam’s Club and had traveled as far as Canada. He never met a stranger and was a very caring person. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, camping and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sons, Bob and Alvin Looney. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margie; son, Larry Looney of Bellmead; daughter-in-law, Debora Looney of Speegleville; sister, Mrs. L.B. King of Waco; brothers, Howard Looney of Waco and Tommy Looney and wife, Martha of Garland; grandchildren, Jason Hoffmeyer and wife, Lara, Kyle Ahrens, Carrie Looney and Travis Looney; four great grandchildren, nephews, cousins and many friends.
