Alan W. Linville June 10, 1922 - September 30, 2015 Alan W. Linville, Lt. Col. Ret., of Woodway passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 3, at Lorena Cemetery with Pastor and friend, Irena Vlajnic, officiating. Alan was born June 10, 1922, in Lorena, Texas, to Winfield and Rosemary Shipp Linville. He served in the U. S. Air Force and served in WWII in Northern Africa and European Theater, and retired as a Lt. Col. Alan was a lifelong Methodist. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Don Linville. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Christine B. Eskew Linville; his daughter, Alana Linville; and his son, Mark Linville and wife, Emiko; sister, Francis McAtee; and his nieces and nephews, Susie, Lee, Rosemond and Winfield from Texas and Joanie and Ed from Seattle, Washington. The family wants to thank those who cared for Alan during his time of illness, especially his friends, Cindy and Tish of Providence Hospice and Dr. John Kosarek.
