Alexander Christian Reed October 22, 1991 - May 22, 2009 Alex Reed of China Spring passed away Friday, May 22, 2009. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 29 at Highland Baptist Church with Mr. Matt Wible officiating. Alex was born October 22, 1991 in Waco, the son of Laura Myers and Damon Reed. He enjoyed roping, riding horses, bowling, SCUBA diving, frisbee golf and was proud to be a China Spring Cougar. Alex especially enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. There are many fond memories of days at the lake, swimming with his brother and sisters. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kathy Cooley and great-grandparents, Fred Nettles, Floyd and Mary Faye Myers and Arnold Stratton. He is survived by mother, Laura Myers and step-father, Dow Myers; brothers and sisters, Sumner, Nathan, Amelia and Madelynn Myers; father, Damon Reed and special friend, Rachel Adair and her children, Jordan Adair and Joshua Molina; grandparents, Bob and Gloria Stratton, Butch and Pat Reed and Bob and Jerry Myers; great grandparents, Polly Nettles and Jean Stratton; aunts and uncles, Amy Stratton, Ross Myers, Michael and Narda Reed, Teresa and Ricky Shands; great-aunts and uncles, Billie Myers, Jeannie Montgomery, Monty and Larry Wylie, Rita Young, Roger and Marla Stratton, Nancy and Chase Reid; cousins, Nicholas and Andrea Reed and Aalyrah Stratton; close family friends, Abel Reyna and Halston Olinger; Karen and Scott Rogers and extended family, the Reyna, Dulin, Wade and Kusler families and many other relatives and friends. Special recognition to his additional "family", Uncle Brent and Aunt Lisa Murray and "Daddychick" Pete and "Mommachick" Julia Rutter.
