Alfred Peña, 66, passed away to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, May 31, 2021 at home with his wife of 35 years, Rose, and daughter, Lore', by his side. A memorial service will be held at a later date, at Mighty Wind Worship Center with Pastor Derrick Watley officiating. Alfred was born November 17, 1954, in Waco, Texas, to Joe and Raquel Peña. Alfred graduated from University High School in Waco and attended McLennan Community College. After graduating, he began his career at Waco Lighthouse for the Blind and retired from the City of Waco. He met the love of his life, Rose in 1975 at the age of 21 and they were married on May 23rd, 1986. Their prayers were finally answered on October 23rd, 1991 when their only daughter Lore', was born. Alfred was a great cook, loved music, riding his Harley Davidson, spending time with the family cat, Venus and dog, Bea. He also enjoyed attending his home church, Mighty Wind Worship Center where he met many wonderful friends and family through Lunch & The Word and fellowship in small groups. Alfred was a quiet man with a big heart. He was a loving husband and wonderful father, who dedicated his life to his family and their happiness. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lorenza Vanda whom he lovingly referred to as his "Little Grandma;" his father, Joe V Peña; and his brother, Candelario Peña. He is survived by his mother, Raquel Peña; his wife, Rose; his daughter, Lore'; his sister, Alice, and her husband, Tony; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins that he loved dearly.
