Alice Allen February 7, 1942 - October 31, 2013 Alice Allen of Axtell passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Providence. The Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 21, at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Sopirit with the Father Nathaniel J. Lee officiating. Alice was born February 7, 1942, in Tracy, Minnesota, to Cyril and Marjorie Allen. Her degrees were in English, Theater Arts and History, and she worked most of her career with libraries and Texas Social Services. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. Alice was an active member of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Milton Messimer, Jr. She is survived by her sons, David Allen and Christopher Messimer; her sister, Sarah Jane Wetzel and husband, Harry David; nephews, Robin and Jay Wetzel; and niece, Michelle Copeland.
