Alice Gray Brooks

Alice Gray Brooks May 25, 1932 – August 5, 2006 Alice Gray Brooks was born May 25, 1932 in Calumet, Oklahoma to John Gallatin Paxton and Eula Paxton. She went to be with her Lord on August 5, 2006 for a great reunion in Heaven with her husband, Ted Brooks and many family and friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. in Waco, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 am, Thursday August 10, 2006 at Western Heights Baptist Church in Waco, Reverend Curtis Holland officiating. A dedicated wife and mother, Alice loved her family and expressed it in so many wonderful ways. While she was known for her administrative work with several local companies, she is best remembered for her tireless efforts as a dedicated Sunday School teacher at Western Heights Baptist Church. Many young ladies studied and learned of the glory of God in her class and have emerged as great women of faith. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Paxton and his wife Pat of Houston, Texas; two sons, Bill Brooks and wife Kathy of Waco, Texas, Bob Brooks and wife Cheri of Dallas, Texas, grandsons Blake, Nathan, Shane, Blaine, and Grayson, and a host of other family members. The family requests that donations in memory of Alice be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org and/or Western Heights Baptist Church.
