CROSS, ALICE Alice Mable Cross, 94, died June 10, 2005, at a nursing home in Schulenburg, Texas. A private graveside service for the family was held at 3:00 p.m. June 25, at Lovelace Cemetery in Witcherville, Arkansas. A long-time resident of Waco, she was born in Perry, Texas on August 17, 1910 to Jacob Henry and Olga Wolfe Faudi, one of seven children. She graduated from Madison College in Tennessee where she received her Bachelor’s and RN degrees in nursing. She was a registered nurse at Fitzsimmon’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado and later at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Waco until retiring. She was a lifelong member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Waco. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Loyce Cross; her siblings, Jinx Faudi, Otto Faudi, Marvin Faudi, Esther Gafner, Lydia Roberts, and Phillip Faudi. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte West and husband, John of Houston; grandson, John Darrell West and wife, Julie; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Tyler West, David Andrew West, and Hannah Diane West, all of the Woodlands, and Terri Lyn West of Houston and Hood River, Oregon, along with many nieces and nephews, and two sisters-in-law living in Arkansas.
