Alice Marie Morris August 30, 1923 - May 31, 2013 Alice Marie Morris of Waco passed away Friday, May 31, 2013. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Josephine Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, June 3, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Alice was born August 30, 1923, in Gobbler Creek, Texas, to Harry and Tillie Kight. She was a registered nurse at Hermann Hospital in Houston. She was a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served during World War II. She was very active in the Daughters of the King and Altar Guilds at Episcopal churches in Tomball and Conroe, and was a current member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Waco. She was also a member of the Garden Patch Garden Club of Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Tillie Kight; and two sons, George Morris, Jr., and Dr. Brock Morris. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, George Morris, Sr., of Waco; one son, Bruce Morris and wife, Charlotte, of Colleyville, TX; one daughter-in-law, Linda Morris of Waco; six grandchildren, Krisann Shoemaker, George Morris III, Dr. Jenny Carl, Seth Morris, Brett Morris, and Jill Morris; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Seth Morris, Brett Morris, Billy Shoemaker, Dr. Leighton Carl, Zachary Shoemaker and Ethan Shoemaker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zeke and Judah Carl and Richard Womack.
