ALICE EDMONSON Alice E. Weatherby Edmonson, 91, of Waco, died Sunday September 23, 2001 at a local nursing home. Services will be at 3:30PM on Thursday September 27, at Wilkirson – Hatch – Bailey Chapel, 1124 Washington Ave., with Rev. Dan White officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be 6pm until 8pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Edmonson was born January 5, 1910 in Hillsboro, TX. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and was also a graduate of Baylor University where she earned her Bachelor and Masters Degrees. She married J.N. Edmonson in 1935, at that time they moved to Waco; in 1966 he preceded her in death. She taught in the public school systems of Hill and McLennan Counties and also the Waco Independent School District where she taught at the Crestview Elementary School and retired after 42 years of service. She held Lifetime memberships in the Texas Retired Teachers Association, the Waco-McLennan County Retired Teachers Association and The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Zeta Chapter. SURVIVORS: Niece: Linda Teague and husband John Olin Teague, Sr. of College Station, TX Great Niece: Terri Toler and husband Steve Toler of College Station, TX and their 5 children Great Nephew: John Olin Teague, Jr. and wife Brenda of Monmouth, Oregon and their 5 children Honorary Pallbearers: Mitch Johnson, Hart Nance, Bill Matyastik Memorials: Columbus Avenue Baptist Church – Building Fund or your Favorite Charity WILKIRSON – HATCH – BAILEY
