Allen Ray Walker June 12, 1939 – July 30 , 2007 Allen Ray Walker passed away July 30, 2007 from cancer. A memorial service will be held at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, TX on Saturday, August 11 at 1:00 p.m. He was born in Waco, TX on July 23, 1939 to Allen Hayes and Mary Stanford Walker, both deceased. Upon graduation from University High in Waco, Al entered the U.S Air Force. He served his country for 8 years before being honorably discharged and joining the Air National Guard, 147th Fighter Group stationed at Ellington Air Force Base near Houston. In 1975, he joined the Communications Division of the Houston Police Dept and finally retired in 2002. Al is survived by Nancy R. Walker, his wife of 37 years, and his much loved daughter, Susan Anne Walker, both of Friendswood, TX. He also leaves behind numerous family members residing in the Waco area.
