Alton Wayne Poehls

Alton Wayne Poehls passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Wayne was born March 9, 1950, in Waco, TX, to Ernest J. and Pauline H. Poehls. Wayne graduated from Lorena High School and attended Texas Tech in Lubbock. He worked for a CPA firm in the DFW area for many years. He enjoyed reading and learning new things throughout his life. Wayne was also committed to making donations to organizations, such as March of Dimes, Children’s Miracle Network, and Red Cross.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Pauline Poehls; his sister, Shirley A. Wright; and brother, James A. Poehls.

He is survived by his sisters, Joyce Swatloski, Theresa Wallace, and Margaret Lyons; his brother, Milton Poehls; as well as many nieces and nephews.
