ALVINE KNUDSON Alvine Schraeder Knudson, 85, of Lorena, passed away Friday October 24, 2003 at a Clifton hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Walter Albers officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Riesel. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Knudson was born November 28, 1917 in Mart to Fritz and Annie Nolte Winkelmann. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s E & R Church in Otto. She married Edmund Schraeder November 28, 1935. He preceded her in death September 29, 1959. She married Emroy W. Knudson November 12, 1994. She was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Fred Winkelmann, Bill Winkelmann, two infant brothers, and Hattie Schmedhorst and Sophie Schlemmer, and also by son, James Schraeder and granddaughter, Edith Northcutt. Mrs. Knudson was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Riesel and presently at St Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead. Her hobbies included dancing and playing dominoes. She had worked as a salesperson at various businesses in the Waco area including Woolco, Square Deal, Winns and Wal-Mart. She also worked as a seamstress at Woods Manufacturing and Cassidy. Survivors include her husband, Emroy W. Knudson of Lorena; daughters, Doris Weaver and husband Terrald of Rex, GA and Ethel Elly Goldsmith and husband Bo of Lorena; sons, Buddy Schraeder and wife Betty of Riesel and Harvey Schraeder and wife Madeline of Conroe; grandchildren, Byron Weaver of Conroe, Rodney, T.J. and Scott Weaver all of GA, Greta Lyren of Ohio, Christy Schraeder of Huntsville, Tamara Roznos of Robinson, Tonya Reynolds of Waco, Tasha Delony and Trena Goldsmith, both of Lorena, Rebecca Gervasi of Aurora, CO and Jeffrey Schraeder of Lakeside, CA; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Annie Springer of Waco, Lorene Jander and husband Louis of Sealy, Nita Harwell and husband Johnny of Elm Mott; brothers, Henry Winkelmann of Riesel, and Wilburn Winkelmann and wife Dovie of China Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Byron Weaver, T. J. Weaver, Raymond Schmedhorst, Bobby Schraeder, John Schraeder, and Larry Winkelmann. Honorary pallbearer is Olis Eaton.
