Alyne Earnestine Silbert May 24, 1919 - February 13, 2008 Earnestine Silbert of Waco passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in Houston after a brief illness. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 15, at Rodef Sholom Cemetery with the Rabbi Mordecai Rotem officiating. Earnestine was born May 24, 1919 in Mt. Calm, TX to Leon and Sarah Silbert. She worked for many years in the family shoe business, the Factory Outlet Shoe Store. She continued working part-time, primarily as a shoe sales-lady, at other shoe stores as well. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Maurine and Ben Reed; and brother, Isadore Macey Silbert. She is survived by her niece, Shelly Zacharias and husband, Vic of Cypress, TX; nephew, Mal Hoffman and wife, Lynnette; and numerous great nieces and nephews. "Earnie" was a cherished aunt and truly adored by Shelly, Vic and their children and grandchildren. She will be truly missed by her MahJong buddies, numerous Temple members and faithful neighbors.
