Alyne Hunt Myers June 1, 1923 - August 10, 2010 Alyne Rose Hunt Myers of Waco passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010, after suffering several years with Alzheimer's disease. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m., Thursday, August 12, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Alyne was born June 1, 1923, in Waco, to Johnnie and Rose Hunt. The Hunts were the owners of Johnnies Shoe Service, former Grand National Award winners for shoe repair. The shop was on Austin Avenue, next to the Waco Theater, for 47 years. When Mr. Hunt was elected County Treasurer, Alyne and husband, Lloyd Myers, became owners of the business. Mr. Myers died in 1982 and Alyne continued the business until 1998, after which she moved to Cedar Hill to live with her daughter and grandchildren. She loved her family and was devoted to them; and loved to watch her grandchildren in all their sporting events. Alyne was an avid sports fan and remained a Baylor Bear fan, until the very end. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 42 years, Lloyd Myers. She is survived by sons, Allan Lloyd Myers and wife, Cynthia, of Bay Village, OH, and John B. Bubba Myers and wife, Bobbie, of Waco; and daughter Martha Myers Potter and husband, David, of Cedar Hill, TX; grandchildren, Zack Myers and wife, Candace, of Ft. Worth, Todd Myers and wife, Alyssa, of San Antonio, Scott Myers and wife, Marifer, of Dallas, Josh Manlove and wife, Haley, of Carrollton, Jennifer Manlove of Dallas, Brad Myers of Bay Village, OH, Chris Myers and wife, Jennifer, of Columbus, OH, David Potter and Joshua Potter, both of Dallas; and great-grandchildren, Megan Myers, Braxton Myers, Alexandria Myers and Samantha Myers. Pallbearers are Zack Myers, Todd Myers, Scott Myers, Josh Manlove, Keith Henry and Kelly Henry. Memorials may be made to Waco Boys and Girls Club, P.O.
