Amanda Elizabeth Owen June 17, 1916 - July 12, 2013 Amanda Elizabeth Owen, 97, of Waco, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 12, 2013. Graveside Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Amanda was born June 17, 1916, in Myra, Texas to Bill and Matilda Reece. She married the love of her life, Daniel H. Owen, on October 12, 1935 and they remained happily married until his passing on May 18, 1993. She was a faithful member of her beloved church, Grace Temple Baptist Church. Aunt Lizzie passed from this earth peacefully surrounded by her family her nephew, Don Rager and wife, Ida; great-nephew Danny Rager and wife, Angie, and their children Daniel and Amanda. She is also survived by one sister, Katherine Reece Tavares of Waco, and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Grace Temple Baptist Church.
