Ambrosio Sanchez Arriaga

ARRIAGA, AMBROSIO Ambrosio S. Arriaga, age 87, of Waco died Thursday, July 5, 2001 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, July 7th at Waco Memorial Park with The Rev. Anthony Ferrer officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, July 6th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Arriaga was born March 22, 1914 to Bernarda Sanchez and Niciforo Arraiga in San Marcos, he moved to Waco in 1932. He married Andrea Salas January 1, 1940; she died September 7, 1992. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII for a year and 3 months. He worked for the VA Hospital in Waco for 25 years, retiring April 1, 1972. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Survivors include: Daughters: Janie Lopez of Waco Mrs. Jose Cabrett of Waco Eufemia Puente of Corpus Christi Son: Jesse Arriaga and wife, Becky of Dallas Sisters: Carolina Ramirez and husband, Joe of Waco Mary Fuchs and husband, Don of Wortham Brother: Jimmy Arriaga of Waco Nine grandchildren Seven great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
