Amelia Viola Koenig September 29, 1922 - August 19, 2008 Amelia Viola Koenig of Waco passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Amy was born September 29, 1922 in Waco, Texas to Newton and Emma Shirley. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Art. She worked as a model for Foley's Department Store and later as a legal secretary. Amy was a lifelong Episcopalian and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Tipton Oren Tate, Cyrus Duncan Cantrell, Jr. and Donald Eugene Koenig. She is survived by her son, Dr. Cyrus Duncan Cantrell, III and wife, Dr. Mary Lynn Marple; and her granddaughter, Katherine Anne Marple-Cantrell.
