ANDREA DUNN THEILENGERDES Andrea Dunn Theilengerdes, 35, of Woodway died Friday, October 11, 2002 at a Dallas hospital following an extended battle with leukemia. Services will be held at 2pm Monday, October 14 at Hewitt First Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 7-9pm Sunday, October 13 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Theilengerdes was born February 10, 1967 in Houston, Texas where she was raised. She graduated from Baylor University in 1989 and received her Master’s Degree from the University of Texas in social work, and was a Licensed Master Social Worker. Andrea dedicated her adult life, both professionally and personally, to serving the needs of disadvantaged and abused children, most recently at the Waco Center for Youth. In her youth, Andrea accepted Christ while a member of South Main Baptist Church in Houston. While attending Baylor University, she became a member of Western Heights Baptist Church. Since 1996 she has been a member of Hewitt First Baptist Church, where she participated in the adult choir, ensemble and handbell choir, among many other activities. She enjoyed photography, quilting, and spending time with friends. Andrea was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Bruner Dunn. Andrea is survived by her husband, Jason Theilengerdes of Woodway; father, Philip Dunn and wife Patricia of Houston; sister, Phyllis Dunn of Fort Worth; maternal grandmother, Vera Bruner of Quitman; aunts and uncles, Joe and Betty Lyn Collier of Longview and Jim and Cathy Bruner of Albuquerque; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Aaron and Vernell Theilengerdes of San Antonio; brother-in-law Chad Theilengerdes and wife Lisa of San Antonio; cousins, Ken Collier and wife Sandy of Nacogdoches, Steven Bruner of the U.S. Army in Korea, Henriette Rawdon of Everman, Jeanette Sullivan and husband Bill of Saint Louis; numerous colleagues and many loving friends. Pallbearers will be Gary Coley, Ken Collier, Jeff Donahoo, Steven Hatfield, Todd Kettler and Robert Mills. Memorials may be made to Hewitt First Baptist Church.
